Day 4   Explore Santorini Sailing

In the afternoon, charter a crewed sailing or motor yacht for a day cruise around the volcanic islets of Santorini and be amazed by the sunset vistas across the sea to Thirasia.

There are many wineries on Santorini which is renowned for its indigenous ‘Assyrtiko’ grape (Vitis vinifera). Volcan Wines Museum and Winery is a family-run business and audio tours in different languages explain the winemaking process. Day 7 Visit Akrotiri archaeological site

Head south to the tip of Santorini to see the ancient ruins of Akrotiri, one of the most advanced Bronze Age settlements. It thrived before being destroyed by a major volcanic eruption. As in Pompeii’s Roman ruins, the remains of this Minoan town are wonderfully preserved. The town sat on the slopes of Thera and it was decimated when the volcano erupted during the second millennium BC. The volcanic matter blanketed the whole island of Santorini, amazingly preserving the buildings and contents for visitors to see today.
