Work up an appetite for a tasty breakfast of local organic products. Day 03

After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a more in-depth yoga session with Pranayama and Vinyasa movements to optimise energy and renewal. Appreciate the stunning views as you enjoy breakfast on the veranda before heading to the beach. Read and relax, or perhaps take a siesta in the early afternoon in preparation for a magical sunset walk through some of Tinos’ most iconic sights. Your guide will take you first to the ruins of St Helen’s Castle on the rugged mountain of Xombourgo. The 11th century foundations are all that remain of massive fortifications and towers that protected from pirates and enemies. The peaceful hilltop is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a fruit snak. The breathtaking natural scenery of our walk will inspire some stops for Hatha asana yoga and meditation along the way. An optional evening out in the nearby chora (town) is a great way to participate in local culture and dining at the town’s lively bars, cafés and restaurants.

Day 04

The day will start with a series if Yin asanas to strengthen joints, tendons and ligaments. After breakfast, head out on a road trip around Tinos visiting several of the island’s most beautiful coves and beaches with time for swimming, surf lessons and chilling out. The trip will stop at some of the famous villages to admire the marble sculptures and architecture.  Stops will be made to sample local white wines and beers and you’ll also learn about locally grown herbs such as sage, thyme, oregano and chamomile. These are widely used in Greek cuisine and their healing properties are the foundation of traditional holistic medicine.

One final treat awaits with a sunset visit to Pyrgos, a village famous for its centuries-old marble carvings and monuments – one of the noted highlights of Tinos’ architecture. Our final dinner together will be in a local tavern.
