TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Within this document, the terms “Personality Journeys”, “we”, ”us” and “our” refer to Personality Journeys Private Company IKE, which is registered under the Hellenic Tourism Organization (Licence Number: 0208E70000509101) and offers and operates all the trips listed on this website. All of our trips are offered subject to “Personality Journeys” standard terms and conditions, which can be found on our website.
Please review the terms and conditions set out in this document carefully prior to completing your reservation with us. Some of the key terms and conditions are set out below to ensure you are aware of the limitations of our obligations to you.
Please note that all travellers must be aged at least 18 years old (at the time of travel) for all of our trips, unless they are accompanied by an adult. Any travellers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Certain itineraries might include age-specific activities and in general, all minors must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate in any activity.
When we refer to ‘Personal data’, we mean information that relates to you which allows us to identify you, either directly or in combination with other information that we may hold. Your personal data may include details such as your name, contact details, information relating to your booking with us or information on how you use our website or interact with us.
We will endeavor to keep your information as up to date as possible, ensuring that it is current, accurate and complete.
WHEN DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA ABOUT YOU?
We may collect personal information about you whenever you use our services, when you travel with us, when using our website, when contacting us directly by phone, email, through social media or when visiting our offices.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
- When completing an online form such as our inquiry form or brochure request form or when contacting us directly to inquire about one of our holidays, we record basic personal information such as your name, address, email address and contact number.
- When booking a holiday we will collect additional information including your previous experience, passport details, travel insurance, emergency contact details, information relating to dietary requirements and any medical conditions that we may need to be aware of.
- When you sign up to receive email marketing communications from us we require your name and email address. You can manage your preferences to ensure that you only receive marketing emails related to content that you are interested in. Once signed up you will be able to manage your own marketing preferences and are free to unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time.
We ONLY collect personal details as a result of your direct interest in Personality Journeys M.IKE. We DO NOT buy any third party lists from other suppliers or share your data with any third parties without your specific permission to do so.
WHAT DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR?
We use the information that we hold about you in the following ways:
- To provide you with the information, products or services that you have requested.
- To manage your travel booking and provide you with the relevant services associated with your booking.
- To communicate with you and manage our relationship with you.
- To personalise and improve your customer experience.
- To provide you with news, updates, promotions and offers where we have your permission to do so.
If you are unable to provide us with your personal information, then we will not be able to provide you with the services requested including accepting your booking.
You can subscribe to marketing emails via the ‘Subscribe to our newsletter button on our website or by opting in via one of our website forms. Your personal information is retained and used to provide you with relevant marketing communications, including newsletters, and special promotions. These communications may be tailored to you based on your preferences and the information that we hold, such as your prior travel history. We are careful not to send you marketing communications too frequently to ensure that they do not become an annoyance.
UPDATING YOUR MARKETING PREFERENCES
Each marketing communication that we send you has the option to ‘manage your preferences’ or ‘unsubscribe’which will allow you to remove yourself from our mailing list. Alternatively, you can contact us directly and we will remove your details.
BROCHURE MAILING LIST
When you complete the brochure request form on our website your details will be recorded in our brochure mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive a copy of our brochure then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office directly and we will remove you from this list.
IMAGES OF YOU ON OUR HOLIDAYS
From time-to-time, our clients, staff or suppliers may take photographs and/or videos of the holiday in progress which may include images of our clients. These images and/or videos may be used in future marketing materials and stored physically and digitally. If you do not wish you or your family to be photographed or filmed or for any photographs and films which may contain images of you or your family to be used in this manner, please advise your tour Leader and/or the photographer at the beginning of your trip.
Again, if you do not wish to appear in any images that may appear online please make other clients aware that you do not wish to be included in any photographs.
On the rare occasion that you or any of your family members are included in any images displayed on our website against your will, please contact us at email@example.com and we will remove the images immediately.
LINKS ON OUR WEBSITE
Our site may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy notices and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?
In order to facilitate our clients’ travel arrangements, we need to share personal information with our ground agents and other relevant suppliers such as airlines, hotels and transfer companies. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.
We will not pass any information onto any person who is not responsible for part of your travel arrangements.
HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR?
We do not hold your information for longer than is necessary to facilitate our relationship with you as our client. For example, when you book a holiday with us we will keep the information related to your booking in order to fulfil your travel arrangements. After that, we will keep the information for a period which enables us to handle or respond to any complaints, queries or concerns relating to the booking. The information may also be retained so that we can continue to improve your experience with us and to enable us to set your loyalty membership status.
We will actively review the information we hold and delete it securely, or in some cases put it beyond use, when there is no longer a legal, business or customer need for your information to be retained.

HOW SECURE IS YOUR DATA?
We have taken all necessary steps to put in place the appropriate security measures to protect your information. When you book your holiday online, we use the latest secure server software which encrypts your booking information and payment details on submission.
REQUESTING A COPY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You are entitled to a copy of any information held on you by Personality Journeys. If you would like to see this, please contact us at email@example.com. We will provide a copy of your information within 30 days of a request.
It is entirely the responsibility of the trip’s participants to select a trip that is suitable based on their individual abilities, fitness level, and personal interests. When booking with us, we rely on you to make sure you are fit and healthy enough to partake in the trip you have booked. We also trust that you have thoroughly read the pre-trip information provided regarding any clothing, training, and medical requirements sufficiently in advance of your trip. Furthermore, all of the trip’s participants are required to behave in a considerate, polite, and respectful manner at all times towards their fellow travellers and the “Personality Journeys” team, and importantly, the natural environment.
If you or any of the people you are travelling with are diabetic, epileptic, or asthmatic, this information must be included on the reservation form or made clear to our team in advance of the trip. If you have a history of heart trouble, are allergic to bee/scorpion stings, or take daily prescription drugs, this also needs to be included on your form or made clear to us to ensure your health and safety.
If you or any of the people travelling with you have medical conditions or history that may pose a problem or require attention during the trip, you need to inform your guide(s). Please note that pregnant women, participants with a history of heart trouble, or any other potentially serious medical condition should consult their doctor or consultant before booking and embarking on a “Personality Journeys” trip. In this case, you should only book one of our trips if your doctor or consultant confirms that it is safe for you to do so.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS VISAS AND PASSPORTS
The visa and passport requirements for visitors to Greece vary depending on the nationality of each individual traveller. Please note that these requirements might change at any time for reasons beyond our control. We will make every effort to provide you with accurate information about the visa and passport requirements; however, it is the responsibility of each traveller to check that they have the necessary travel documents and permissions for their respective nationality prior to embarking. Please note that we are not liable or responsible for any expenses or costs that arise if any traveller scheduled to participate in a “Personality Journeys” trip is not permitted to enter Greece.
When you pay a deposit towards your trip and return your Traveller Information Form, you are certifying that you do not have any medical or physical condition or disability that may create a hazard for you or any other travellers. By doing so, you are also confirming that you have received the correct vaccinations required for your trip. Please consult your doctor or medical practitioner regarding vaccinations and medical conditions prior to booking.
PERSONALITY JOURNEYS EXTERNAL ASSOCIATES
At times, we may use or recommend external travel companies or support services to cater to requests submitted by travellers. This is so we can provide services outside of the scope of what our team provides. When doing so, we strive to recommend only those companies who provide the highest-quality levels of service and we work side by side with these companies to attempt to attain special treatments for PJ travellers. However, we cannot and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or availability of services provided by third parties. Please note that “Personality Journeys” is not liable for any injury or expense that arises from any service or lack of service provided by any third party. “Personality Journeys” are not responsible for the standards of care that travellers experience when using the services recommended.
We are not liable and will not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission or negligence of any party other than Personality Journeys and its employees.
Personality Journeys and its parents, subsidiaries and their respective employees, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, representatives, and assigns shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. You waive any claim against us for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
IMAGES & MARKETING
You agree that, while participating in any Tour, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, Personality Journeys staff or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grants a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to us, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
Before you embark on a trip with us, we strongly suggest that you check your personal and health insurance in order to make sure that your coverage is suitable based on your needs, and the needs of your family and dependants, in the unfortunate case of any loss of property or illness, injury, or death. We will be at your service in case you want us to suggest our affiliate travel insurance company.
We respect and appreciate that our travellers wish or need to follow a particular diet. Because of this, whenever we can we attempt to cater to your choices and needs. To accomplish this, you need to record your dietary preferences on your booking form at the time of booking. We will then ensure this information is provided to your “Personality Journeys” guides. Your guides will then inform the relevant restaurants and hotels to meet your requirements.
FLIGHT AND PASSPORT DETAILS
In order to provide an airport pick-up or drop-off, we need to know your flight information. We also ask for this information to ensure you have adequate time to meet your flight home. In some cases, we may request your passport information, for example, if it is required by our local service providers or to facilitate your transportation.
At all times, we strive to protect our traveler’s privacy and confidentiality. We endeavor to maintain the security and confidentiality of the information disclosed by our travelers in accordance with the strictest standards. We are always seeking better ways to ensure the security of personal information entrusted to us. We are committed to ensuring that any personal information disclosed to us is secure and is not used for any purposes other than what we require to deliver the service our travellers deserve and expect.
Regarding our scheduled or private yachting trips, the itinerary route or the duration of stay in each island may change in case weather conditions are not favourable. The final decision on this issue is always made by the captain. There are always alternatives to enjoy our stay no matter the potential route rescheduling. Moreover, regarding Sailing & Hiking Cyclades sailing trip, in case such route alterations are made necessary for safety reasons, we will have to adjust hiking routes accordingly.
Scheduled trips: As described in trip notes.
Tailor-made sailing trips: 50% deposit upon booking confirmation & settlement 2 weeks before departure. Please note that until we have received your deposit payment at the time of confirmation, all arrangements are subject to availability and/or price change.
Tailor-made land trips: 20% deposit upon booking confirmation & settlement 2 weeks before departure. Please note that until we have received your deposit payment at the time of confirmation, all arrangements are subject to availability and/or price change.
Tailor made itinerary planning: Depending on the complexity of your request we may require a nonrefundable deposit of €250 to begin planning your trip. Later, once the final price of the trip is determined, the deposit will then be deducted from this amount. To confirm a specific itinerary we collect a 30% deposit on the total trip price, or more if there are larger nonrefundable supplier amounts due (in some circumstances such as yacht or plane charter a larger non-refundable deposit may be required and separate terms will be drawn up). Please note that until we have received your deposit payment at the time of confirmation, all arrangements are subject to availability and/or price change.
CANCELLATION BY “Personality Journeys” (Relevant to Trips with scheduled departures only)
“Personality Journeys” reserves the right to cancel any trip if there are too few participants, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the travelers is judged to be compromised as such. In these rare cases, any refunds received by “Personality Journeys” will constitute full settlement. Please note that “Personality Journeys” cannot and does not assume responsibility for any losses incurred as a result of non-refundable air tickets.
CANCELLATION BY ‘Client’
If you have to cancel your trip for any reason, you are entitled to a refund of the following amounts depending on the type of your holiday:

SCHEDULED SAILING TRIPS
- More than 240 days, 100% refund of your deposit
- Between 61 and 239 days 50% refund of your deposit
- Between 30 and 60 days 40% refund of your trip’s cost
- Between 0 and 29 days 100% cancellation fee
SCHEDULED LAND TRIPS
- More than 30 days, 100% refund of your trip’s cost
- Between 16 and 29 days 70% refund of your trip’s cost
- Between 0 and 15 days 100% cancellation fee
PRIVATE SAILING/YACHTING TRIPS
- More than 240 days, 100% refund of your deposit
- Between 239 and 91 days prior to departure, 30% of the total charter fee is due.
- Between 46 to 90 days prior to departure, 50% of the total charter fee is due.
- Between 0 to 45 days prior to departure, 100% of the total charter fee is due.
- More than 30 days, 100% refund of your trip’s cost
- Between 16 and 29 days 50% refund of your trip’s cost
- Between 0 and 15 days 100% cancellation fee
